Today, Rise was announced at the NT winner of the "Embracing Innovation" category for the Telstra Best of Business Awards.
Rise was founded in 2018 when Steve was working on a roof in a remote community, sweating in the brutal humidity of the tropical ‘build-up’ and thought “we can do this better”. He brought an aerial drone with the simple idea of doing safer, quicker roof inspections.
6 years later, driven by Steve’s vision, Rise is now a leading Territory business using aerial drones, bathymetric drones, underwater drones, LiDAR scanners and high-grade cameras to create digital twins and virtual tours to help clients virtually inspect or visit a remote site, artefact, building, asset or landscape from anywhere in the world.
We are particularly proud that the judges commended our passion for the Territory and said our commitment to using technology to strengthen the remote North shone through in our submissions. Rise is a proud Territory business working right across remote Northern Australia and we are passionate about inspiring Territory businesses to reimagine themselves not as second-rate southern companies, but as first rate tropical, remote Northern Australian experts.
We see this Award as an opportunity to showcase not only Rise, but the innovative work that is happening here in the Territory and broader Northern Australia. We want to show Australia that Territory businesses have something special to offer – our expertise and capacity to live and work in one of the most remote places on Earth.
